Sweater Dress With A Statement Scarf

Today’s look is my sweater dress with a statement scarf.

I love using accessories to add interest to a look and this is the outfit that I was wearing for my birthday yesterday. You may have seen it already if you follow me over in Instagram. I didn’t really do much to celebrate my birthday on the actual day, just had a nice dinner with my family at home in the evening and had some cake! I hope to celebrate properly at the weekend.

Sweater Dress With A Statement Scarf

I wanted to wear my favourite grey sweater dress for the day and add some complimentary colours so I paired it with a blue multi coloured Missoni scarf.

Missoni have some of the most amazing knitted patterned scarves and this zig zag knit is one of the signature patterns from the Missoni brand. I love how it really livens up the grey dress and makes a statement. I’m not sure if you can see on the pics but it also has some sparkly threads running through it which makes it shimmer in the light.

I finished off the look with my black shopping tote and ankle boots. Accessorising with a scarf is such an easy way to make the sweater dress that you have had for a while look different to get more wear from it and of course a pretty scarf goes with many looks too and can always add interest to outfits.
