When you live an active life in the country and city alike, one thing that is a must in the autumn and winter is a raincoat to prevent you from staying indoors on a rainy day and to keep you nice and dry in the rain.
When I was asked by Target Dry to choose a coat from their new collection to feature on the blog, I was delighted as I have been looking for the perfect raincoat for some time now.
As you will know if you read my blog on a regular basis I spend a lot of time walking in nature, with my little dog Honey. I have been looking for a raincoat that is not too shiny, not too thin, has style and one that I can work into my wardrobe. I chose the Target Dry Outback 2 Full Length Raincoat in Jet Black as I loved the cape detailing across the shoulders. It comes in lots of different colours but I thought jet black was the most versatile for me.
Capes are a huge trend for winter 2015 and to incorporate a trend into a practical item is great. As well a being on trend now, the Outback 2 is a very classic style of country coat. This style has been around for many years and I plan to wear this very coat for years to come. The coat is of outstanding quality it really is the ultimate dog walking coat. It is highly waterproof to 5000mm and windproof, which means you can wear it when it’s cold without putting too many layers on. It has a gorgeous checked lining in a soft and cozy woven material this gives it a real country look. As it happens checks are also a strong trend this winter so this lovely coat is ticking all my boxes. It also has a removable hood, which I actually removed today as it is not raining. The hood is lined in the lovely checked fabric so nice and soft inside.
I am wearing it today with a black top, black scarf, jeans, my new ZARA sparkle ankle boots and my Chanel GST XL. As always full outfit details are at the bottom of the post.
