Today I’m writing about some of the spring summer 2021 jewellery trends and sharing a selection of pieces that caught my eye.
Happy Friday! I hope you have all had a nice week and are looking forward to the weekend ahead. As many of you know I love all accessories, but since the changes that we have all been living with over the last year have meant staying indoors more, I have found a greater love for my jewellery.
Many of my previous outfits focused on what I could add to my look when going out of the house, like a great bag to finish off my look. This no longer applies to my lifestyle at the moment. Over the last year whilst spending more time at home, I have hardly used my bags and have found a new greater love for jewellery as I wear it all day and it makes me feel good when I do wear it.
Jewellery is a great way to add detail to an outfit. Whether you are wearing classic fine jewellery or fashion / costume jewellery, there are so many ways that jewellery can add and complete a look.
Spring Summer 2021 Jewellery Trends
There are a few key trends for this spring and summer so I thought I would share them here on the blog and hopefully inspire you to wear something similar that you may already have or perhaps treat yourself or a loved one for something new.
Pearl jewellery is a huge trend this year. Expect to see more baroque styles of fine and costume jewellery.
Bark Huge Hoops With Baroque Pearls – Alex Monroe
Alta Pearl Necklace Set – Monica Vinader
Big earrings are always good for the spring and summer months and long earrings that almost reach your shoulders are a big trend this summer. For those like myself who find they like statement earrings that are big but not that big you can find some below.
Hillary Earrings – Sezane
The beach style costume jewellery trend has been reoccurring for a few years now and one that I have been leaning towards in the summer. I love a pair of shell earrings with a summer dress so will certainly be bringing mine back out this season.
Josh Earrings – Sezane
Josh Necklace – Sezane
Tennis bracelets are a classic jewellery piece that never really go out of style. Whether a fine jewellery item with precious gem stones or a fashion piece, you can’t go wrong with a beautiful tennis bracelet. They also look good layered so if you have a tennis bracelet or two don’t be scared to wear them all at once for a more statement look.
Golden Zirconia Tennis Bracelet – Thomas Sabo
Sparkling Slider Tennis Bracelet – Pandora
Heavier chains have also been around for a long time and seem to be really popular right now. Pair them with a simple casual look for the most impact.
Doina Wide Chain Necklace – Monica Vinader
Ridge Heart Axiom Chain Necklace – Missoma
I hope you enjoyed the selection and let me know your thoughts on some of these trends in the comments section below. Have you been wearing more jewellery recently?
