The Body Shop Coconut Collection

Today I’m showing you some recent products that I have purchased from The Body Shop. I have been using them on my body for the last couple of weeks to prepare my skin for my holiday. I am leaving today and will be blogging my outfits next week from my holiday destination in the UK, also posting extra pics on Instagram so give me a follow if you want to see my pictures.

I have recently re-discovered The Body Shop. I was a huge fan of the products in my teens and used to love the White Musk Fragrance Misticon and Strawberry Lip Buttericon. As I matured I moved on to more serious products, and never gave The Body Shop a second thought. Recently though there has been some hype building. I’ve noticed the products on lots of blogs and they have really made some changes to the branding of the company and have some lovely new and very grown up and luxurious products.

When browsing on The Body Shop website I noticed that they have some lovely collections and products, including the new Spa Of The World range, but it was The Body Shop Coconut Collection that really caught my eye. I think this has been around for a while and is nothing new, but I really liked the look of it.

I love anything coconut. I love eating it, cooking with coconut oil and using the oil in raw format on my hair sometimes. The health benefits of coconuts are unbelievable and of course the smell is divine. I went ahead and purchased the Coconut Body Buttericon, Coconut Shower Cream and Coconut Hand Cream. It was delivered for free to my door in just a few days. My skin is really dry at the moment and have been looking for a moisturiser to revive it this autumn and I’m leaving for my holiday today so wanted to make sure my skin was nice and soft. The products are super hydrating and smell good enough to eat, well almost.

The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter review

Coconut Body Buttericon was exactly as you would expect. It’s a thick buttery texture which sinks in quickly and afterwards leaves a little oily residue on the skin that sinks in gradually and moisturises for 24 hours. This may not be for everyone but I do like to feel the products on my skin. It is pure white in colour like a coconut, and is enriched with pure fair trade organic coconut oil from Samoa. I really liked using it and it left my skin feeling soft and smooth.

The Body Shop Coconut Shower Cream review

The shower creamicon also contains Fair Trade Coconut Oil from Samoa and is soap free. It lathers up really well and it just has a really nice tropical smell. I wasn’t disappointed.

The Body Shop Coconut Hand Cream review

The hand creamicon is my favourite of the three products and the one that I will be buying again. After just a minute of putting it on my hands felt noticeably softer and not greasy at all. The scent lingered for a while reminding me of a tropical paradise. I also love the packaging. It seemed to look more expensive than the shower cream and body butter. I’s the perfect size to pop  into your handbag, and a little goes a long way so should last for a while. If only I was jetting off to a tropical paradise today instead of a UK break.

All of the products featured come in small to large sizes so are great if you want to try them out before committing to a larger sized product.
