It’s national chocolate week and I’m going with the theme of chocolate and showing you an outfit I have put together featuring a Bourbon Biscuit Bag. It’s a great look for autumn including rich chocolate tones paired with black and grey.
I was gifted this beautiful bag from Yoshi Lichfield to feature on the blog. They gave me a choice of any bag on the website, which was really hard as there are some beautiful leather bags on there. The one that caught my eye the most was this rich chocolate Bourbon Biscuit Leather Cross Body Bag from their picture bags collection.
Novelty handbags are huge at the moment and have been spotted on the runways of major designers including Chanel, Anya Hindmarch, Moschino and many more. I have seen similar biscuit styles including a very expensive Bourbon Clutch from Anya Hindmarch which retails at £995. With my Yoshi Bourbon Bag I feel like I am getting a similar look, which is more wearable for me, as it can be worn casually and at a fraction of the price of designer. It still has such a luxurious feel as the quality of the leather and bag is amazing for the price. It is a very well made piece and the leather feels and smells divine. There is also a matching Bourbon Biscuit Appliqué Leather Coin Purse and Bourbon Biscuit Appliqué Leather Keyring if you like the look of the bag but wanted something less obvious. They would also make the most amazing gifts.
I love designer handbags and do have a few very expensive bags in my collection. I equally wear high street bags too if I feel they are good quality and look the part. Usually the bags that I invest in are the more classic styles, and I would get a more fashionable bag from the high street.
Bourbon Biscuits are a classic British tea time snack. They are a sandwich style biscuit with two oblong chocolate flavoured biscuits filled with a chocolate buttercream filling. They can also be known as Bourbon Creams and they are a hugely popular choice here in the UK. There is nothing more comforting than a lovely cup of tea and a biscuit and I’m sure that is why this Yoshi Bourbon Biscuit Bag has won my heart.
What are your thoughts on novelty handbags? Would you wear one? If you did, would you splurge out on a designer bag or save by going to a high street store?
